Though it&#8217;s sometimes referred to as a boardwalk, our promenade is actually paved (the last wooden boardwalk was destroyed in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.capemay.com\/blog\/2008\/09\/storm-of-the-century\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">1962 nor&#8217;easter<\/a>).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The promenade is your gateway to the beach and unparalleled views of the ocean. It&#8217;s open to the public<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are access ramps<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Public restrooms are located along the promenade approximately every half mile<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>There are plenty of benches<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The promenade is lighted in the evening<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>The covered Sunset Pavilion overlooks the Cove beach and is <a href=\"https:\/\/www.capemay.com\/weddings\/sunset-pavilion\/\">a popular location for weddings<\/a>.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Policies<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li>Bicycles, e-bikes, and roller skates are restricted from May 16 through September 14. You can only ride or park them on the promenade from 4am to 10am in-season. <\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Dogs are permitted on the promenade from September 15 through May 15, during the winter months.
