The taste of Italy in the heart of Cape May! Located in the heart of Cape May, NJ, just steps from the Washington Street Mall, Iccara Italian Bistro brings you the fresh, unique flavors of Italy in a charming, welcoming atmosphere.

Proprietor and local restaurateur of 30+ years, Vincenzo Sanzone grew up in a small town in Sicily called Iccara, where his grandmother, who was always cooking something incredible, taught him that delicious food is equally as important as a warm, welcoming atmosphere surrounded by family and friends.

Today Vincenzo brings the food inspired by the coastal Italian town of Iccara to the seaside town of Cape May. Years after Vincenzo moved to Cape May, the name of his childhood town was changed to Carini, but Iccara still lives in Vincenzo’s heart — and we hope after dining with us, it will live in yours, too.

Cape May’s Iconic Surfer Bar & Restaurant

“The Nail,” as it’s known by the locals, is the famed iconic surfer bar and restaurant that made a name for itself in the ‘70s. Back in the day lifeguards, surfers and beautiful beach bunnies gathered around the wood bar that was rumored to be the longest in all of Cape May. Now it’s your turn to join in the fun for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

In the summer gather around the fire pit for a cold drink. When the weather starts to cool down, come on in and sit by the indoor fireplace. Kids’ meals are served on a souvenir Beach Shack Frisbee, giving you a fun after-dinner activity. Indoor spaces spill into outdoor seating, sand bar, fire pit and shuffleboard. Young, old and even four-legged friends are invited in from the beach for live entertainment and Rusty Nail’s beach blanket comfort food that can also be wrapped to go.
